By accessing our website, purchasing our physical consoles, expansion packs, or booking professional security and advisory services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Overview & General Terms
1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern all sales of goods and professional service offerings provided by Black Watch Field Company ("we," "us," or "our"). 1.2. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.
2. Products vs. Professional Services
2.1. Physical Goods: Our tactical consoles, hardware, and expansion packs are available for direct-to-consumer purchase globally, subject to regional shipping availability and compliance laws. 2.2. Professional Services: On-site vulnerability audits, personal training by Close Protection Operatives (CPOs), and security driving instruction are distinct service pillars. All private security operatives and tactical instructors deployed by or associated with our operations hold mandatory licensing by the United Kingdom's Security Industry Authority (SIA). Professional services are currently restricted to the United Kingdom unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
3. Age Verification & Legal Compliance
3.1. Certain items distributed by Black Watch Field Company (including tactical consoles containing fixed-blade tools or restricted components) are strictly age-restricted. 3.2. By completing a purchase, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age. 3.3. Age verification checks are enforced at both checkout and the point of delivery. Couriers are legally mandated to verify valid photographic identification showing the recipient is 18 or older before releasing parcels containing restricted hardware. Failure to provide valid ID will result in non-delivery, and associated courier return fees will apply.
4. Blade Compliance & Equipment Usage
4.1. Customer Legal Responsibility: Certain hardware configurations distributed by Black Watch Field Company include multi-tools containing blades or sharp-edged components (such as the Leatherman Bond). It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure full compliance with all local, national, and international knife laws, weapon regulations, and public carry restrictions applicable in their state, province, or country of residence. 4.2. Appropriate Handling: All equipment must be handled, transported, and stored in accordance with local laws. Black Watch Field Company assumes no liability for the unlawful carrying, transport, or misuse of sharp-edged tools or tactical hardware post-delivery. 4.3. Vanguard & Console Hardware Configurations: The standard Vanguard get-home bag is dispatched globally equipped with a non-locking, compliant tool (the Leatherman Bond). However, upon explicit customer request and subject to additional payment and verification, the Leatherman Bond may be upgraded to alternative multi-tool variants available within our official catalog, provided such upgrades comply with the recipient's local jurisdiction.
6. Returns, RMA, & Specialized Packaging Policy
6.1. Customer-Funded Insured Returns: All discretionary or standard returns must be shipped back by the customer using a fully insured, tracked courier service at the customer's sole expense. 6.2. Customs Documentation: International returns must utilize mandatory documentation (including appropriate "Returned Goods" CPC codes) to prevent double taxation and customs delays. Failure to correctly document returns may result in fees charged back to the customer. 6.3 Consoles are housed in specialized, high-end protective flight cases and custom-nested foam. Customers are strictly advised to retain all original packaging and hard cases. If original packaging has been discarded, an official Returns Kit must be acquired from us prior to shipping (£39.99 UK / £49.99 International) to ensure safe transit. 6.4 Returns received in inadequate third-party packaging resulting in transit damage, or returns missing the specialized hard case entirely, will be subject to a strict replacement fee deducted from the final refund amount. 8. Governing Law
8.1. These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you products or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
5. Shipping, Transit, & Delivery
5.1. Dispatch Regions & Pricing: We currently dispatch physical consoles, hardware, and expansion packs to the United Kingdom (£19.99), Europe (39.99) and the United States (£49.99). 5.2. Transit Routing: Due to international safety regulations governing lithium-ion battery restrictions in air-cargo networks, all international transit relies on secure road-freight methodologies to ensure full compliance. 5.3. Delivery Timelines & Dispatch Confirmation:
Dispatch Notification: Once your console or hardware package has successfully cleared final quality control and been handed over to our logistics partner, you will receive an automated dispatch confirmation email containing your tracking details.
United Kingdom Deliveries: Domestic shipments within the UK target a standard delivery window of up to 14 working days, reflecting our meticulous in-house assembly and rigorous quality control protocols.
International Deliveries (US & Europe): International shipments target a standard window of 7 to 14 working days post-dispatch. A 21-day "worst-case" buffer is incorporated into our transit framework to account for customs clearance and regional road-freight variables. 5.4 For certain international destinations where the air transport of lithium-ion batteries is restricted or prohibited, customers may order consoles or survival kits under our "Empty-Core" model. In these cases, the power bank is excluded from the shipment, the client is charged a reduced rate reflecting the omitted component, and the precision-cut foam insert will arrive ready for the client to independently source and install the specified power bank model locally.
7. Limitation of Liability and Third-Party Services
7.1 Blackwatch Field Company accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for third-party hardware integration errors, unauthorized modifications, user installation mistakes, or hardware usage outside of our precise engineering guidelines, nor for any international customs delays, import duties, or local regulatory inspections incurred during transit.7.2 Blackwatch Field Company assumes no liability, operational control, or legal responsibility for any third-party security services, tactical deployments, or executive protection details provided independently by SIA-accredited operators or partner security firms. All third-party operational services are contracted directly between the client and the respective provider.7.3 Third-party security services, tactical training modules, and educational experiences are currently restricted exclusively to UK-based clients. International clients wishing to access or commission these services or experiences must submit a formal inquiry via email well in advance for bespoke international vetting and eligibility review
